Social Cohesion & Inequality

The CIREM Social Cohesion and Inequality area is centred on the following research pillars:

  • What the new needs are generated from the progressive aging of the population and its impact on the job market, both as regards maintaining and developing the professional skills of the elderly employees and the provision of services for the elderly population.

  • What the impact is of migratory trends on the job market and what the new needs are that are generated through their integration in urban spaces.

  • What the most suitable strategies are to prevent social exclusion and obtain the integration of the new groups and the distribution of the roles in the market, the state and the civil society to handle the problems.
